Wagh Bakri Blends AI with Instant Chai with SIPZ Campaign

Wagh Bakri Tea Group has unveiled an AI-powered digital campaign for its SIPZ Instant Chai range, signalling how legacy FMCG brands are increasingly adopting artificial intelligence to modernise consumer communication. Built around the insight that tea drinkers continue to seek the comfort of "Ghar Jaisi Chai" even while travelling or working away from home, the campaign introduces an AI-created character, WB SIPZ Man, under the theme, "Urgency Can Wait, But Chai Craving Can't."

The campaign will run across digital and social media platforms, targeting professionals, students and travellers seeking a quick yet familiar tea experience without compromising on taste.

Convenience Becomes the New Battleground

According to the company, the campaign has been developed using AI to create a distinctive digital-first identity while highlighting SIPZ Instant Chai's portability and ease of preparation. The initiative reflects a broader industry shift where AI is increasingly being used not only to optimise production but also to develop creative assets and storytelling at scale.

Paras Desai, executive director, Wagh Bakri Tea Group, said the launch reinforces the company's effort to evolve with changing consumer preferences while preserving the brand's 130-year legacy of quality and trust. He added that SIPZ Instant Chai delivers the familiar Wagh Bakri taste in a travel-friendly format.

The Last Word

As AI becomes a mainstream creative tool, competitive advantage will increasingly depend not on using the technology itself, but on pairing automation with authentic consumer insights that strengthen brand recall and relevance.
