Ranbir Kapoor has entered the FMCG category as founder of Flux Theory. He built the shower brand with Advay Jhunjhunwala and venture-building platform Think9.
The Launch: Five Characters, One Question
The launch film brings together five of his recognisable screen characters: Barfi, Bunny, Jordan, Ayan and Shiva. They meet in a fictional setting. The idea is simple: people can embody different sides of themselves.
The film frames the shower as a daily moment of choice. Its central question is, "Who do you want to be today?"
Kapoor says every character has stayed with him. He believes no one is a fixed personality. Mood, day and moment change who we are.
The Range: Five Gels, Five Personalities
Each character is paired with one of five shower gels. Every gel is built around a personality and a fragrance.
The line-up Lover, Rebel, Dreamer, Sport and Sage. Each product also offers different skin benefits. That links identity-led storytelling to functional value.
The Last Word
Celebrity-led brands now need more than a famous face. Flux Theory turns an actor's career into a product architecture, with one character per SKU. If repeat purchase follows, personality-based ranges could become a playbook for crowded personal care shelves.
