KidZania India is tapping into the growing nostalgia economy by allowing adults without children to experience its immersive role-play city for the first time. Starting August 29, the company will pilot adult-only entry, enabling visitors above the traditional 17-year age limit to step into professions such as pilot, journalist, police officer and banker.
The initiative follows sustained demand from former visitors eager to revisit the attraction independently. If the pilot performs well, KidZania plans to host adult-only sessions once every two months or once every quarter, creating a new engagement format beyond its core family audience.
Beyond children, towards a wider consumer base
According to Tarandeep Singh Sekhon, Chief Business Officer, KidZania India, adults already represent a sizeable portion of the brand's ecosystem. While they account for around 45% of family visitors, their annual contribution settles at approximately 35% because of the large volume of school group visits.
The move broadens KidZania's appeal while unlocking fresh opportunities for experiential engagement, particularly among millennials seeking memory-led entertainment.
Brands find new value in immersive experiences
The expanded audience arrives as KidZania records increasing interest from marketers investing in experiential formats. Sekhon noted that multiple new brand categories have joined the platform over the past 18 months, while long-term partners such as Parle Agro continue to deepen their presence.
The Last Word
By transforming nostalgia into a scalable consumer proposition, KidZania is extending its lifecycle beyond childhood. For brands, the strategy creates a richer experiential ecosystem where emotional recall, longer dwell time and multi-generational engagement can drive stronger marketing outcomes.
