CenturyPly has unveiled ‘Total Cover’, a differentiated warranty programme for its Club Prime and Architect Ply ranges that extends beyond conventional plywood replacement. The initiative covers the entire cost of rebuilding furniture linked to a confirmed plywood defect for up to 10 years, marking a significant shift in how warranties are positioned within the category.
Built around the proposition ‘Poore Furniture Ka Full Cost Wapas’, the campaign stars Aamir Khan and highlights a consumer pain point often overlooked by the industry—the expense of reconstructing damaged furniture rather than merely replacing the plywood.
Under the warranty, CenturyPly covers the cost of plywood, laminates, adhesives, labour and transportation, broadening the definition of after-sales assurance.
Campaign reframes consumer protection
Conceptualised by VML, the campaign has been produced by Earth Sky Productions, while filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has directed the television commercial, combining storytelling with a clear demonstration of the product promise.
The warranty proposition is backed by approximately two-and-a-half years of consumer research, service case analysis and stakeholder interviews undertaken by CenturyPly in partnership with research agency Centre of Gravity.
The findings helped shape a warranty model aligned with real consumer concerns rather than industry conventions.
The Last Word
As home improvement brands increasingly compete on trust instead of product specifications alone, CenturyPly's 10-year Total Cover signals an emerging shift towards outcome-based guarantees. The move could reset consumer expectations, prompting the building materials industry to evolve from replacement-led warranties to comprehensive ownership protection as a competitive differentiator.
