The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly increased the reserve prices for its title sponsorship and associate partner rights as it opens bidding for its next commercial cycle, according to media reports.
As per the report, the reserve price for the title sponsorship has been raised by more than 15% to ₹4.9 crore per match, compared with the ₹4.2 crore per match paid by incumbent sponsor IDFC First Bank under the current agreement.
The reserve price for associate partner rights has also increased to ₹95 lakh per match, up from ₹82 lakh.
Confidence in Cricket's Commercial Strength
The revised pricing reflects BCCI's confidence in the continued demand for premium cricket inventory from brands seeking nationwide visibility.
Despite evolving media consumption patterns, Indian cricket remains one of the country's most effective platforms for mass reach, brand recall and sustained consumer engagement.
For advertisers and media planners, the revised reserve prices also indicate rising competition for high-impact sponsorship assets, particularly as marquee sporting properties continue to command premium valuations.
Higher Entry Price for India's Biggest Cricket Property
The latest pricing benchmark is likely to influence sponsorship negotiations across Indian sport, reinforcing cricket's position as the market's most valuable commercial platform.
The Last Word
As premium sports inventory becomes more expensive, brands will increasingly be judged not by their ability to secure sponsorships, but by how effectively they activate them across digital, social and on-ground ecosystems.
