South Korean beauty major Amorepacific has launched its skincare brand Mamonde in India through an exclusive partnership with Nykaa, reinforcing its long-term commitment to one of Asia’s fastest-growing beauty markets. The rollout comes shortly after Mamonde’s expansion into the US, underscoring the brand’s global growth strategy. The brand officially debuted in India on August 15 with a skincare portfolio centred on flower-derived ingredients and Amorepacific’s proprietary Hyper-Flora technology.
Science-Backed Skincare for a New Consumer
Built on more than 30 years of floral research, Mamonde’s range targets everyday skincare concerns while appealing to younger, ingredient-conscious consumers seeking efficacy, transparency and innovation. The positioning aligns with rising demand for premium yet accessible Korean beauty products among India’s digitally savvy shoppers.
A Decade-Long Partnership Evolves
The launch further strengthens the 10-year partnership between Amorepacific and Nykaa, which already markets brands including Innisfree and Laneige in India. Paul Lee, Country Head, Amorepacific India, said Mamonde fills a clear gap for younger consumers who have embraced authentic K-beauty.
Nykaa Beauty CEO and Executive Director Anchit Nayar added that the launch reinforces Nykaa’s leadership in introducing innovative Korean beauty philosophies and formulations to Indian consumers.
The Last Word
With global K-beauty brands accelerating investments in India, Mamonde’s entry highlights a shift from trend-led launches to portfolio expansion backed by science, localisation and established retail partnerships. For Amorepacific, the strategy strengthens its multi-brand ecosystem, while Nykaa further cements its position as the preferred gateway for premium international beauty brands.
