Snapchat has joined hands with Samsung India for a creator-led campaign to introduce the latest Galaxy foldable smartphones, underscoring the growing role of influencer-led storytelling in technology marketing. The activation brings together 60 Gen Z Snap Stars from across India, who received early access to the new devices to create launch-focused content for their audiences.
The campaign, which commenced on 22 July, is being executed in two phases, combining live event coverage with region-specific creator narratives to maximise engagement across diverse consumer segments.
A Two-Phase Creator Strategy
The first phase involved 20 creators attending Samsung India's launch event, where they shared behind-the-scenes moments, real-time updates and first impressions of the Galaxy foldables. The second phase expands the initiative with 40 additional creators producing localised content tailored to their regional audiences, extending the campaign's reach beyond the launch event.
According to Snapchat, the partnership is designed to leverage authentic creator voices rather than conventional advertising to build stronger consumer engagement around the new devices.
Neha Jolly Sawhney, Head of Ad Revenue, Snapchat India, said Gen Z increasingly relies on creators they trust for product discovery, making authentic and relatable storytelling a critical part of modern brand communication.
Creators Lead the Launch Conversation
Technology launches are increasingly evolving into creator-first campaigns, where credibility is built through real experiences instead of polished brand messaging. For marketers, regional creators now offer scale, authenticity and cultural relevance in equal measure.
The Last Word
The next battleground for smartphone marketing will not be who launches first, but who builds the most credible creator ecosystem around every product introduction.
